Vybz Kartel continues to experience the snail pace of the Jamaican Justice System.
Kartel, along with his co-accused Gaza Slim, aka Vanessa Saddler, and Andre Henry, aka Pim Pim, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Monday to answer to conspiracy charges.
The trial was, however, postponed because the prosecution had not served all the required documents on the defence.
This is the third case against Vybz Kartel to be postponed over the last few weeks. Both his murder charges were also rescheduled when he appeared in court recently.
Both Gaza Slim and Pim Pim are out on bail, however, Vybz Kartel remains incarcerated since last year.
The three were charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of Justice after an incident late last year.
According to police reports, Gaza Slim filed a false police report claiming that she was robbed by a man who identified himself as Clive Williams. That turned out to be the same name of one of the men Vybz Kartel is accused of murdering.
Detectives say they are in possession of a cellphone with a text message sent from Vybz Kartel instructing Gaza Slim to carry out the devious act.
Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, returns to court next month.
