Her “Pound The Alarm” video came out on Monday 31st July and critics have been very impressed with the video thus far.
One critic said: Nicki Minaj is certainly doing her part for tourism for her native Trinidad and Tobago. In her video for “Pound the Alarm,” it’s carnival 24 hours a day in Port of Spain as Minaj and a bevy of beauties in feathered headdress and bejeweled bikinis fill the streets.
When the scenery isn’t of the local lovelies and their various body parts, it’s on Trinidad’s natural beauty, including the miles of beaches.
Once the video has run its course as a promotional vehicle for Minaj, we hope she turns it over to the country’s tourism bureau to run as their ad to lure visitors..
Another critic, popular internet blogger Perez Hilton had this to say:
Shake those tail-feather's Nicki! Pound that alarm with your bombastic bosom!
The human Crayola Crayon set that is Nicki Minaj goes Carnivale cray cray in her new musical video for euro-clubby track Pound the Alarm!
And it is QUITE the excessive extravaganza.
Travel to Trinidad and flick your feather-adorned hips with Barbz!
We had heard that during the filming of Pound the Alarm, some local Trinidadian music producer cheated Nicki & co. out of 100k, which negatively effected the shoot… but we do NOT see that thievery reflected in this fiery music spectacle!
Oooo we want a Carnivale outfit! Those ferocious headdresses are EVERYTHING!
Go Nicki! Way to promote tourism in T&T!
